1. Spatenstich - Neubau Leichtathletikstadion "Am Wasserturm" in Reichenbach

Das Stadion "Am Wasserturm" in Reichenbach wird zu einer moderen Leichtathletik-Anlage ausgebaut. Neben den 6 Kurz- und Rundlaufbahnen, ausgebauten Segmenten (entsprechend B-Anlage) entsteht eine zusätzliche gegenläufige Weitsprunganlage vor der Haupttribüne, die ebenfalls komplett erneuert wird. Sportgeräte und Laufbeläge werden nach den neusten Standards eingebaut und sind für internationale Wettkämpfe geeignet.
Ebenfalls begonnen hat der Neubau eines Kunstrasenplatzes in unmittelbaren Nähe des Stadions.
Inauguration public transport-regional rail transport connection station Hainichen

Since summer 2000 the faithful collaboration between the city council Hainichen, supported by the district chief executive Dr Schramm and his team, as well as the financial endorsement by the "Regierungspräsidium Chemnitz" and the "Zweckverband Verkehrsverbund Mittelsachsen" has made it possible to create a attractive and sofisticated train station precinct for the transfer coach-railway.
With the decision to reactivate the line "Hainichen – Frankenberg – Chemnitz", it has been our mutual goal to establish competitive conditions for the public transport and to provide a handicapped accessible and safe transfer "door to door".
The public transport connection station is served already by the Regio-Bus and will be by the City Bahn with the schedule commencing on December 12th 2004.
Start of the civil works at the traffic landing strip Auerbach.

A further joyful event took place on 01.09.2004 - the 1. cut of the spade at the traffic landing strip Auerbach by Prime Minister Dr. Georg Milbradt, Mr. Jürgen Petzhold (MdL), Mr. burgomaster Graupner, Mr. Stefan Bär (national sport federation) as well as Mr. Scheffler, manager of the Fliegerklub Auerbach e.V.. The runway will be extended to approximately 800 m and partly paved. In memory of his visit in the Vogtland, the office handed over a Vogtlandatlas to Prime Minister Dr. Georg Milbradt.
Grand opening of the Arthur-Lambert-Stadium in Wittenberg

The ceremonially opening of the „Arthur-Lambert-Stadion“ in Wittenberg took place on 26.06.2004. With the traditional tie cut by Mrs. Heise (president TSG Wittenberg), Mr. Naumann and Mr. Fugmann the sports facility was given over to the public.
